University of Arizona Film and Television Los Angeles (FTV LA)

Film & Television Los Angeles (FTV LA) is a partnership between the University of Arizona School of Theatre, Film & Television (TFTV) and Film Independent to build community and support the career development of alumni and students in Los Angeles over the next two years.

The FTV LA program includes monthly TFTV alumni spotlight talks and high-profile screenings of Film Independent Presents, Film independent’s popular film series. TFTV emerging alumni will have the opportunity to attend screenings and conversations with filmmakers and expand their professional network within and beyond the TFTV community, while established alumni with films in release or on the festival circuit will be spotlighted and promoted in this series.

In addition to programs and events, all TFTV alumni now have access to the creative spaces at Film Independent headquarters to facilitate their creative and professional work, catalyze projects and create interest-based networking groups to support career development and expand your community in LA.

You can reserve any of the following spaces through TFTV:

  • Meeting Rooms (50 and 15-person capacity)
  • Screening room (35-person capacity)
  • Casting rooms (5 and 8-person capacities for auditions or meetings)
  • Lobby/Café area (for solo work and small group meetings)
Reserve space and see available time slots

As an additional part of FTV LA, the partnership with Film Independent includes a Project Involve Fellowship for a TFTV alum selected to join the program. Film Independent’s impactful program, Project Involve provides hands-on filmmaking experience for talented filmmakers on short film projects from inception to completion. In its inaugural year, TFTV will award $10,000 to an outstanding alum selected for Project Involve in the writing, directing, producing, cinematography, editing or creative executive track.

  • offer an internship or position to current UA students
