While we undertake the revision and innovation of our curriculum, the School of Theatre, Film & Television is not accepting applications for the 2023/2024 academic year for the BFA programs in Acting or in Design & Technical Production. Our goal is to re-open applications for the revised programs for Fall 2024. The BA and BFA programs in Film & Television and the BA program in Theatre will continue to accept applications for the 2023/24 academic year. These programs will be engaged in a curricular reassessment process that will result in revised degree programs beginning in Fall 2024. Matriculating students who wish to change to the revised plans can do so at that time, after speaking with their academic advisors to assess impact on their time to graduation. Going forward, the School is no longer accepting applications for the BFA in Musical Theatre, or the MFA program in Design & Technical Production. Admissions – Prospective Students
Prospective UA students are incoming freshmen and students transferring from another institution, applying to the School of Theatre, Film & Television for their first semester at UA.

The Bachelor of Arts in Theatre does NOT require a separate application to the major. Students interested in BA Theatre need only complete the University of Arizona application, and select “BA Theatre” as their chosen major. If you are accepted to UA, you may begin at UA as a student in BA Theatre.
Select and complete the appropriate College of Fine Arts online application based on your incoming student status. Be sure to note the submission deadlines, which are the same as main campus.
Spring 2024:
November 1, 2023 for first year students
December 1, 2023 for transfer students
Fall 2024:
May 2, 2024 for first year students
July 1, 2024 for transfer students
Summer 2024:
May 1, 2024 for all students

After applying to the University of Arizona you will receive an email that will alert you to apply to the College of Fine Arts. You will also have access to the application 24-72 hours after submitting your main campus application using your UA Future Page. Log into your UA Future page and click on “extended campus application or your main campus application,” which will bring you to your status page. Then click on supplemental applications for the College of Fine Arts and other options.
PLEASE NOTE CHANGE for Arizona Online students ONLY: Students interested in the BA Film & Television Online degree do not need to submit an additional application. You will be automatically admitted to that major should you select it.
