An opening scene from Missing in Brooks County encapsulates the David-and-Goliath theme that runs through much of the 2020 Global Health Film Festival. Impassioned filmmakers follow well-meaning individuals as they mount small, practical challenges to vast, structural injustices. Missing in Brooks County, co-directed by Jeff Bemiss and TFTV Adjunct Instructor Lisa Molomot, and edited and produced by TFTV Associate Professor Jacob Bricca ACE, makes its European premiere this week at the Global Health Film Festival. The festival is dedicated to using film as a catalyst for discussion and change.
