Christie Kerr is an Associate Professor and head of the Acting/Musical Theatre program at the University of Arizona and Artistic Director of Arizona Repertory Theatre. Prior to this, she lived in Chicago, IL where she was an Adjunct Professor at Columbia College, Chicago. At TFTV, Christie has worked as Director, and/or Choreographer and Intimacy Choreographer on the following Arizona Repertory Theatre productions to include: Bright Star, Legally Blonde, Jesus Christ Superstar, Pippin, Sister Act, Spring Awakening, The Addams Family, and Evita.
She has worked throughout the country as a Director, Choreographer and Performer. Select Directing/Choreography credits include: A Chorus Line, Crazy For You, West Side Story, Spamalot, 42nd Street, Into the Woods and The Drowsy Chaperone. Select theatres include: Porchlight, Little Theatre on the Square, Theatre at the Center, Drury Lane Oakbrook, Fox Valley Rep, Metropolis, BoHo, Theo Ubique, Williams Street Rep, and Prather Entertainment Group. Christie also works as an Intimacy Choreographer and was selected as one of 15 members in the elite cohort of the Educator Advocacy Program with Theatrical Intimacy Education in 2022. A graduate of The University of Michigan, Christie holds a BFA Degree in Musical Theatre Performance and is a proud member of SDC.
