The School of Theatre, Film & Television is thrilled to announce FTV LA, our new base in Los Angeles made possible by our partnership with Film Independent.
FTV LA will host alumni talks and film screenings, creating opportunities to connect with fellow alumni, at Film Independent headquarters (5670 Wilshire Blvd, 9th floor).
Join us on October 11 for Alumni Spotlight: The Actors Perspective with Vinessa Vidotto (’18) (FBI: International, Hacks) and Joey Rudman (’14) (Wylde Pak). An RSVP is required to attend.

Vinessa Vidotto graduated from the School of Theatre, Film & Television in 2018, having signed with manager Brady McKay at Haven Entertainment at her Senior showcase. Soon after, she moved out to Los Angeles and within two months, she had booked her first television role as a recurring guest star on Lucifer. The news came just as she had completed her training as a waitress at Olive Garden. Early into her next waitressing job, she landed a ‘New Coke’ commercial with Stranger Things and a guest star role on Hacks. In her third year in LA, Vinessa was working at her third waitressing job when she received the call during a lunch break that she had booked a lead role on FBI: International. Safe to say, in order to book a role, get a new waitressing job! She has been living/filming in Budapest, Hungary and all over Europe for four years now, and recently accomplished a dream of establishing a BFA Acting Scholarship for School of Theatre, Film & Television students.
Joey Rudman is an actor known for his roles on Nickelodeon’s Wylde Pak, five seasons of PBS’s Nature Cat, and as a villain in DreamWorks’ Megamind spin-off series and film. In addition to acting, he works behind the scenes on the production side of several animated shows, bringing characters to life from both sides of the mic. Joey also performs as a puppeteer – most notably as Cookie Monster’s right hand – and co-hosts The Joey and Amanda Podcast with his wife, artist Amanda Oleander, blending comedy, art, and family life.
