The School of Theatre, Film & Television is thrilled to announce FTV LA, our new base in Los Angeles made possible by our partnership with Film Independent.
FTV LA will host alumni talks and film screenings, creating opportunities to connect with fellow alumni, at Film Independent headquarters (5670 Wilshire Blvd, 9th floor).
Join us for a special screening of an all-alumni-made film, followed by a Q&A with the creative team moderated by TFTV alum Tyler Gillett (Scream, Scream VI). Content is written/directed by Adam Meilech (’20), produced by Logan Cleverly (’19), edited by Stephanie Silva (’19), and stars Megan Boehmcke (’21) and Vaune Suitt (’21).
RSVP required to attend.
A found footage horror-comedy shot only phones, laptop, webcams, doorbell cameras, and more, Content follows a seemingly polite director as he blackmails his actors into living a real-life horror movie.
Content is Adam’s first feature – almost all of the crew filmed on nights and weekends between jobs as Hollywood assistants, and most of the behind-the-camera team acts in the film.
Adam Meilech was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, and went on to study Film and Political Science at the University of Arizona. His experience with film, politics, and improv comedy led to his thesis short film The Leak, following a student government campaign team, winning Best Director at the Austin Comedy Short Film Festival. Since then, Adam’s moved to Los Angeles where he’s worked at a talent agency and as a producer’s assistant. He was a writer on the short Junk Male, directed by Ella Purnell (Fallout).
Logan Cleverly is an independent filmmaker based in Los Angeles. He is the Creative Director for musician Max Bennett Kelly, producing music videos aligning with his unique artistic vision and brand identity, which have garnered over 3 million views on YouTube. He continued to work with Max, by co-writing and producing Junk Male, winning Best Short Film at the IFS/Los Angeles Film Festival. Logan is currently working as an assistant in marketing at NBCUniversal and is completing a coming of age feature in post-production.
