At the end of each academic year, the Freshmen and Sophomore BFA Acting and Musical Theatre majors present their work in a public showcase. Sophomores appear in Encountering Chekhov and the Freshmen present their work in Acting Up. Both of these performances are open to the public and offer audiences insight into student classwork, as well as a chance to see the future stars of the School of Theatre, Film & Television.
Sophomores in Encountering Chekhov perform scenes from the works of Anton Chekhov.
Acting Up is composed of scene work taken from the BFA Freshman Acting curriculum.
We are excited to share that this semester, college and high school students are eligible to attend any School of Theatre, Film & Television theatre production for free! More information on this initiative can be found here.

Note: Acting Up is a presentation of self-selected scene work from the BFA Freshman Acting sequence. Certain scenes contain strong language, and are thematically centered around very sensitive topics, including discussion of sexual assault and implied suicide.
