At the end of each academic year, the Freshmen and Sophomore BFA Acting and Musical Theatre majors present their work in a public showcase. Sophomores appear in Encountering Chekhov and the Freshmen present their work in Acting Up. Both of these performances are open to the public and offer audiences insight into student classwork, as well as a final chance to see the future stars of the School of Theatre, Film & Television.
Sophomores in Encountering Chekhov perform scenes from the works of Anton Chekhov.
Acting Up is composed of scene work taken from the BFA Freshman Acting curriculum, with a focus on modern realism.
Please be aware that some of the scenes contain themes of a sensitive nature, including strong language and discussion of sexual assault. This performance is not appropriate for audiences with small children.
