Jessica has been with the School of Theatre, Film & Television since 2011, first as a faculty member and administrator, and now as an academic advisor. She has previously held faculty positions at Oklahoma State University and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and has taught classes at Pima Community College, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and University of Georgia. As a classroom teacher, she has helped thousands of students learn about the theatre in a wide variety of general education, undergraduate, and graduate courses.
Jessica has published and presented work at venues such as Literature/Film Quarterly and the Literature/Film Association, the Shakespeare Association of the Americas, and the Popular Culture/American Culture Association. Her book, Metanarrative Functions of Film Genre in Kenneth Branagh’s Shakespeare Films: Strange Bedfellows, was published in 2017 by Cambridge Scholars Publishing.
In all of her various roles, Jessica’s work is driven by her passion for student support and success. She’s excited to help students find a path to their future!
