“I didn’t really see graduation as our graduation, I saw I Dream in Widescreen as our graduation,” Christopher Nataanii Cegielski (’16) says. “If you mess up, it’s all you,” Cegielski said. “If you do great, it’s all you. The story, script, vision is all you. That gives you this really cool opportunity. … You’re really trying to make a film that you’re really, really proud of. That entire year, all your work is shown off in that hour and a half.”
Christopher Nataanii Cegielski sat down with the Navajo-Hopi Observer ahead of #IDIWS2020 to talk about his own experiences with I Dream in Widescreen and his thoughts on the first virtual iteration of the event.
At IDIWS2020, Christopher will join Darious Britt in ‘New Voices,’ a conversation about their own journeys since graduating from the School of Theatre, Film & Television, and the challenges – and opportunities – facing new filmmakers • I Dream In Widescreen • August 8 • starting daily at 3pm PT | 6pm ET • youtube.com/UASchoolofTFTV
