Darious Britt is the winner of nine Telly awards!

Congratulations to Darious Britt, Media Specialist for the School of Theatre, Film & Television.  Darious is the winner of nine Telly awards for his feature UNSOUND and the documentary How I Made My FIRST Movie | Making UNSOUND!

Below is a complete list of his awards, including two Gold Telly awards!

• UNSOUND is the Gold Telly Winner in Non-Broadcast: Low Budget (under $700 per minute)

• UNSOUND is the Silver Telly Winner in Non-Broadcast: Directing
• UNSOUND is the Silver Telly Winner in Non-Broadcast: Videography / Cinematography
• UNSOUND is the Silver Telly Winner in Non-Broadcast: Social Issues
• How I Made My FIRST Movie | Making UNSOUND is the Silver Telly Winner in Non-Broadcast: Editing
• How I Made My FIRST Movie | Making UNSOUND is the Silver Telly Winner in Non-Broadcast: Motivational
• UNSOUND is the Bronze Telly Winner in Non-Broadcast: Writing
• UNSOUND is the Bronze Telly Winner in Branded Content: Directing

The Telly Awards is the premier award honoring video and television across all screens. Established in 1979, The Telly Awards receives over 12,000 entries from all 50 states and 5 continents. Entrants are judged by The Telly Awards Judging Council—an industry body of over 200 leading experts including advertising agencies, production companies, and major television networks, reflective of the multi-screen industry The Telly Awards celebrates.  This is the Telly Awards 40th anniversary and this year they received a record-breaking number of entries!

The School of Theatre, Film & Television is proud to have Darious as the featured guest lecturer for the new lecture series Day for Night: Conversations on Film & Television.  The program, Personal Branding: Thriving in the Era of Social Media, is scheduled for January 28, 2020 at 7pm in ENR2 S107.  Darious will share best practices for building and expanding a personal brand using social media to cut through the noise to connect with audiences.
