An Arizona Daily Star story shines a spotlight on the 2021 edition of I Dream in Widescreen. Speaking to TFTV Professor Lisanne Skyler and Director of Advancement and External Relations Kerryn Negus, the article highlights the significance of I Dream in Widescreen for graduating FTV seniors, and how events of the past year have impacted the creation and content of their films.
“The pandemic — with all the time spent in intimate spaces at home, watching incredible devastating inequities ripple out across social media — has been a time of profound reflection and searching … these are stories from their hearts and from the complexity of their lives today.” says Professor Skyler.
I Dream in Widescreen 2021 will take place concurrently in person and online: the in-person event will take place on Saturday, May 8, at the Cactus Drive-In, and will stream online for a global audience from May 8-22 through The Loft Cinema.
