Application Deadlines

BA Theatre is available for Fall and Spring entry.

Prospective UA Students (New to the U of A)

Prospective UA students need only to complete the University of Arizona admissions application and select BA Theatre as their preferred major. No additional application for the BA in Theatre is necessary.

MAY 1, 2017

is the deadline for freshmen for Fall 2017 admission.

JUNE 1, 2017

is the deadline for transfer students for Fall 2017 admission.

Current UA Students (Already enrolled at the U of A)

Eligible students may declare the BA Theatre at any time during Fall and Spring semesters; see instructions below.


Application Process

Prospective UA Students (New to the U of A)

Apply for admission to the University of Arizona. Select BA Theatre as your preferred major.

Current UA Students (Already enrolled at the U of A)

  • You must have a minimum UA cumulative GPA of 2.0 to be eligible to declare the BA in Theatre. If you are in your first semester at UA and do not yet have a UA GPA, you may declare the major.
  • If you have the required GPA (or are in your first semester at UA with no GPA), meet with advisor Prof. David Yarnelle to declare the major. To schedule an appointment with Prof. Yarnelle, click here.
  • To be eligible to register for Fall 2017 TAR courses during priority registration, meet with Prof. Yarnelle and declare the major by March 1, 2017.
