Welcome to the School of Theatre, Film & Television!
The School of Theatre, Film & Television offers our students comprehensive training in the art and business of story telling. Actors, directors, cinematographers, production designers, producers, production managers, editors, technicians, and film and theatre scholars are working, learning, and creating together in a rich and challenging environment.
Our Students get hands on production experiences at every level of the program. Our degrees are designed to offer strong theoretical foundations while building individual production and performance skills. Working in three outstanding theatres, production shops, digital editing and post-production laboratories, our students work with state of the art equipment, and train under a faculty made up of working professionals.

Arizona Repertory Theatre, our professional theatre training company produces 90 public performances each year. Our Screening Series including What’s up Doc’s, Magic Hour and I Dream in Wide Screen. Our Studio Series offers theatre students the opportunity to produce and perform contemporary work and devised theatre in 4 contemporary productions each year. Finally our Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium gives our theatre and film studies students the opportunity to conduct and present scholarship to their peers and the academic community at the U of A. It’s a busy and exciting place! Take the opportunity to explore all of it and we hope you will choose to be part of something bigger!
